A must have book for anyone who has a space to grow things. Given as a gift.

I was happy with the condition of my book. I would recommend this company to friends.
This book shows plants in colored drawings, and has good description of plants including information on zones, sun and water needs. I type common names in Google to find its scientific names, and then find them in the book. The names of plants in alphabetical order are in scientific names, and if you do not know the scientific names like me, it is hard to find the plants you are looking for. It is also hard to see the whole picture of plants from drawings. Internet photos show the whole plant while that is missing in the book. It is a great plant dictionary if you know the scientific names of plants.
This is a very good book that is full of good information about the landcape plants that are commonly used in the western United States. Sunset has created their own hardiness zones, so do not be confused when the zones listed in this book do not match what you thought you knew. The zones that they have created are very usefull because they are much more specific to smaller areas near the coast. In the mountain areas, however, the maps are not so precise, but still a good guide.
